All lanes are open on the M25 after a crash between four vehicles had shut two.
The incident occurred on the M25 anti-clockwise between J17 and J16 Rickmansworth at around 7am this morning.
A total of four cars were involved in the crash.
Emergency services and traffic officers were all at the scene.
Traffic is still slow anti-clockwise between j17 and j16 and between j20 for Kings Langley and j19.
At one stage, tailbacks stretched all the way back to j21 and there were queues of 90 minutes.
It also lead to severe congestion on routes in and around Watford, St Albans, and the Three Rivers area.
Delays in Rickmansworth, Chorleywood, the A405, the A414 and the Croxley Green lanes have all cleared.
Herts Fire and rescue tweeted earlier this morning: “We are currently on scene at a 4 car RTC Junc 17 to 16 M25. Delays of over 30 minutes have been confirmed by @HighwaysEAST - please avoid the area if possible and find an alternative route.”
