Two men have been charged in connection with an alleged burglary in Rickmansworth.

Kaine Milstead, 22, of Brookside Avenue in Ashford, has been charged with burglary, theft of motor vehicle, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.

Chris Langley, 26, of Waller Road, Beaconsfield, has been charged with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.

The burglary charge relates to a break-in that is alleged to have happened in Loudwater Lane, Loudwater on Tuesday morning.

Mr Milstead is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on January 7, 2019, while Mr Langley is due to appear at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on January 8, 2019.

Sergeant Neil Canning, from the Rickmansworth Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “We have been carrying out a targeted and proactive operation in Three Rivers to identify and arrest those who are responsible for burglaries in the area.

“As part of this, Operation Scorpion teams have been conducting patrols in neighbourhoods to identify any suspicious behaviour. My message to thieves who are considering coming to Three Rivers to target homes is to think twice as we will arrest you.
