A restaurant has unveiled its new look after undergoing a big refurbishment.

Toby Carvery, near Bushey, invited down a representative from the Royal British Legion to cut the ribbon, after the two-week closure.

The restaurant helped raise more than £200 for this year’s Poppy Appeal and have pledged to continue to support the charity with a host of fundraising events in the pipeline.

Tony Griffiths, who cut the ribbon, said: “We’re thrilled to have been given the honour of officially reopening Toby Carvery Aldenham, and to have been chosen by the restaurant as its charity partner is absolutely amazing.

“We can’t wait to start working with the Toby Aldenham team to help raise funds and awareness for our cause. They have some great looking local events in the pipeline to support the Royal British Legion and we’re sure they’ll be well received within the local community.”

The refurbishment has created 15 new jobs.

General manager at the Toby Carvery branch, Gordon Marshall, added: “We’re so pleased at how brilliant Toby Carvery looks following the refurbishment, and we were thrilled to have The Royal British Legion cut the ceremonial ribbon for us.

“The Royal British Legion is such a great charity, and the work they do to help the British force and their families is brilliant to see. They’re such an integral part of the community and we’re really excited to get stuck in and support them

“For many, the great British roast is the ultimate heart-warming food, and we just can’t wait to serve a traditional dinner in our fresh surroundings.”
