A teenager was sent to hospital after being stabbed last night.
Armed police were out in force after reports of a teenage boy sustaining a stab wound in The Ridgeway, St Albans at around 8pm yesterday (February 18).
The ambulance service attended, and the boy was taken to hospital. He was later released and returned home.
A 16-year-old boy from St Albans and a 15-year-old boy from London Colney were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in police custody.
Despite reports on social media, police have said this is not connected to Sandringham School which is along the same road.
Sgt Caro from the St Albans Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “This is believed to be an isolated incident where the victim and suspects are known to each other and enquiries are continuing.”
Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or anyone with information is asked to contact the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/16207/19.
