A woman aged in her 20s was walking from the station when a man forcefully kissed her despite her without consent.
Walking from St Albans Railway Station just before midnight on Thursday, April 11, the woman realised a man was following her onto Victoria Street.
He walked beside her and started talking to her in Lattimore Road before grabbing her arm and trying to kiss her.
Police appealing for witnesses and information following the assault in St Albans have released images of a man they would like to speak to as part of their enquiries.
PC Laura Richardson said: “The victim repeatedly told the male ‘No’ and pushed him away but was understandably very shaken up by this incident.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened.
“I believe there may be a number of witnesses as other people were leaving the station at the same time that night.
“We would also like to speak to the man pictured as he may have information which could assist the investigation.
“I appreciate that you can’t see his face in the images, but someone may recognise him from his clothing.”
