More than 100,000 cyber attacks were directed at Hertfordshire County Council in the last three months of last year (2018).

Data reported to the county council’s resources and performance cabinet panel on Friday (May 10) shows 112,052 attacks were made during the three-month period. All were “successfully repelled”.

The report to the panel states: “The number of attacks on servers, remote attacks and malware and phishing attacks on council systems between October and December was 112,052. All attempts were successfully repelled.”
