The King is Back

Ben Portsmouth is the world’s number one Elvis tribute artist. Dodobones

Free live music at Watford's oldest pub. Hatching in 2009, DodoBones have since been attracting attention with raw and heartfelt lyrics, seducing vocals, pulsing and gritty acoustic guitar, double bass and percussion. They have a good sense of humour when it comes to the darkness of life and it comes across in their performances, which are tight and full of passion. Their combination of natural acoustic instruments and powerhouse performances features their material, as well as clever interpretations of other people's.

This urgent, funny new show blends warmly engaging storytelling with poetry and an original soundscape. It tells a surprisingly moving and uplifting story about families and learning to care for each other better.

Royal Ballet Mixed Triple Bill

Delayed Live from the Royal Ballet. The contemporary face of The Royal Ballet is shown in works from three of today’s leading choreographers. Christopher Wheeldon’s Within the Golden Hour is based around seven couples separating and intermingling, to music by Vivaldi and Bosso. Crystal Pite’s Flight Pattern uses a large dance ensemble and Górecki’s familiar music from his Symphony of Sorrowful Songs for a poignant and passionate reflection on migration. Between them, a new work by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui has its premiere to bring the contemporary truly up-to-date.
