Summer Concert

Chipperfield Choral Society’s summer concert will include a performance of Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini. The Petite Messe Solennelle is the most substantial of the works written during the last years of Rossini’s life, after he had achieved widespread fame and ‘retired’ from writing operas when he was not yet 40 years old. The music ranges from hushed intensity to boisterous high spirits.
