An office building fire in Hemel Hempstead has caused severe delays this morning (Wednesday, July 3).
The fire has meant the A414 heading eastbound is shut between the A4147 (Maylands Avenue) and the M1 Junction 8 (Hemel Hempstead) - according to traffic news provider Inrix.
Officers are currently assisting Herts Fire Service at the scene on Breakspear Way near to the M1 and have warned of congestion on surrounding roads.
Hertfordshire Constabulary have advised people to avoid the area if possible.
UPDATE: The road has been re-opened, as of 10.30am
