A teenage boy had his bag and speaker stolen while playing with his friends.

Officers are investigating a theft in Wheathampstead, on the playing fields in Marford Road on July 7 (Sunday) after a 13-year-old boy had his bag – containing a set of speakers - stolen.

The teenager had put his bag down while he went to play with his friends. The theft happened at around 6pm.

Officers have released a CCTV photo of a man who might be able to help with their enquiries following a theft.

Harpenden and Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team PCSO Joshua Walton-Taylor said: “We believe the man pictured may have been in the area at the time and he could have vital information which may assist the investigation.

“If you recognise him, or have other information about what happened, please call the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference 41/61832/19.”
