Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue were called to a series of fires in Watford and St Albans yesterday and the early hours of this morning.
The fire service were first called to a small car fire on the A414 between Park Street and London Colney in St Albans yesterday (Thursday August 1) at 5.54pm.
A black Peugeot was burnt out and police remained on the scene whilst the car recovered.
The blaze happened close to the London Colney roundabout.
It resulted heavy traffic delays along the A414.
Later that day at 11.49pm, another vehicle had caught fire in Longcroft, Maple Cross.
A fire engine from Rickmansworth attended and crews used a hose reel to tackle the small fire.
Police also attended the incident.

This morning (Friday) at 5.17am there had been a fire in a field in Old Mill Road, Hunton Bridge.
A fire engine from Garston attended and crews used a hose reel to tackle the fire.
The fire service tweeted this was a suspected arson.
