It'll be go-go-go soon after plans for an indoor go-karting track were given the green light.

Go-karters can look forward to a multi-level 500m circuit complete with hair-raising bends, longs straights, and ramps, and up to 16 will be able to race at one time.

The £1.35 million pound centre by TeamSport Karting will be built on the Greatham Road Industrial Estate in Bushey, near Water Lane, Watford, and is expected to launch in early 2020.

It's open to everyone with children from the age of eight welcomed.

Alongside the racetrack will be a licensed bar serving food and drink, a spectator gallery, and a kids party room.

Hertsmere Borough Council approved the plans at a planning meeting last week.

Dominic Gaynor, managing director of TeamSport Karting said; “We’re delighted to have secured the go-ahead to build this centre and look forward to adding the thrill of Indoor Karting to the list of fun leisure activities to do when we open. Our range of race events and our excellent value karting offers will ensure karting is accessible to everyone looking for an adrenaline-fueled, fun day out."

Up to 30 jobs will be created including both full-time and part-time roles.

The site was most recently occupied by Global Infusion Group (GIG) which has relocated to a new premises.

TeamSport Indoor Karting is the UK's largest operator of indoor karting circuits with 32 tracks across the country.
