It's GCSE results day today.
This means 16-year-olds across the country will either be celebrating their achievements or trying to find some consolation after opening their envelopes.
Whether you are going for a celebratory meal with your family and friends, or looking for some comfort food, there are a several restaurants offering discounts and freebies to pupils today (Thursday, August 22):
Nando's
Students receiving results can claim a free quarter chicken today. The order, which would usually cost £4.10, also comes with the option of getting a free “Fire-Starter” appetiser.
To bag the freebie, all you need to do is turn up at your local Nando’s branch with your results.
Bella Italia
You can grab a free ice cream sundae at Bella Italia.
To claim the freebie, you will have to order a main meal and show a code which can be accessed here.
There may be certain timing and location restrictions so read the terms and conditions online before heading to your local Bella Italia
Chiquito
To congratulate pupils on their results today, Chiquito is giving away free main meals.
Pupils have the choice of a chimichanga, enchilada, tacos or a burrito.
The freebie can be claimed until Saturday (August 24). All you need is your results slip and student ID.
MOD Pizza
GCSE pupils can get a free 11-inch pizza today.
The only thing you'll have to do is take your results into one of the company’s branches.
TGI Fridays
At TGI Fridays, GCSE pupils can get a free slice of Chocolate Fudge Fixation cake along with their main course.
The dessert usually costs £6.49, but can be offered free of charge if pupils order a main meal and quote 'CLASSOF2019’. It's a piece of cake.
The triple-layered chocolate cake is smothered in chocolate, filled with a fudge centre and served warm alongside a dollop of vanilla ice cream – the ultimate indulgent treat to reward all their hard work.
