Manchester’s city centre has seen a boom in brunch spots all complete with 'Instagrammable' decor, vegan friendly options and a social atmosphere.

Here's my list of some of the best places to brunch.

Evelyn’s Cafe and Bar
The foliage theme and copper accents of the bar and kitchen and the beautiful plant decor are definitely part of the reason so many people brunch here. The other reason is the delicious menu and great service. Diners are even offered refreshing cucumber detox water before ordering.
Recommended: The Korean fried chicken is a perfect consistency of salty and crispy and served with fresh lemon to add a tang.

Comptoir Libanais
This Spinningfields gem brings a taste of the Middle East to brunching. The decor is quirky and colourful, bright and bold geometric tiling, floral seating and stained glass features. The restaurant serves flavours of Lebanon including mezze platters, tagines and fruity drinks.
Recommended: The falafel and fattoush salad drizzled with tahini and garnished with sumac.

Ezra and Gil
This Northern Quarter corner cafe is a great place for breakfast, brunch and even bringing your laptop along to get some work done. The theme is industrial and the walls are painted light and dark greys, but the floor to ceiling windows keeps the space airy and light. Ezra and Gil is known for its urban coffee concept and tasty breakfasts.
Recommended: The smashed avocado on sourdough is a favourite among diners because of how tasty yet simple it is.
20 Hilton St, Manchester M1 1FR

Fress
Their instagram account boasts that they were voted best brunch in Manchester 2017 and for good reason. The brunch menu includes the likes of a Full English, cocktails and french toast. Whilst it's not as airy and modern as other cafes, Fress has a charming old-school feel. The eatery takes you back with its classic bistro chairs and Victorian tiles.
Recommended: French toast with mascarpone ice cream, the perfect combination of crunchy and creamy.
62 Oldham St, Manchester M4 1LE

Federal Cafe and Bar
Yet another Northern Quarter cafe that people frequent for their breakfast-midday meal. The ambiance is cozy and intimate and the staff are attentive and friendly. Federal is known for its selection of hot drinks, egg dishes and antipodean elements,
Recommended: The cheddar corn fritters are to die for, drenched in a spicy sauce, layered with cool guac and topped with poached eggs.
