A home care company is hoping to expand its team by offering more than 70 jobs.

Home Instead Senior Care in St Albans is looking for more staff who can provide quality care to clients in their own home.

The company is creating 75 local jobs this year. As the country’s population ages the need for care services continues to increase.

Home Instead co-owner Fiona Harrall said: “Our caregivers are a diverse team and come from various walks of life.

“These range from parents, students, retired people looking to return to work, those looking for a second job or those who want to make the most of a spare few hours during the week.

Recent figures show that by 2025 there will be over 13 million people in the UK aged over 65, many of whom will require care.

She added: “Our part-time flexible hours are a perfect fit. Many of our caregivers have no experience in the care industry but want to give something back to the community by supporting the elderly.

“We provide caregivers with our award-winning training. Our training programmes ensure that everyone gains the right skills and knowledge needed to be confident in their job.”
