Watford Borough Council’s Museum invites you to discover the town’s rich heritage with special free events and openings. Residents will be able to visit, go on tours and take part in walks to discover our many hidden gems from Thursday, September 12, to Sunday, September 22.

Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said: “It’s wonderful to be able to host these free open days to celebrate our rich culture and heritage. Watford has an interesting history and there is no better opportunity than the open days to come along and see this for yourself. Many of the tours give residents the chance to visit buildings in our town that you would not normally have access to.”

You will be able to take a tour of Grade II listed Little Cassiobury, as well as visit Hertfordshire Fire Brigade Museum and Fire Station, St Marys Church, St John’s Church, Pump House, Watford Palace Theatre and many others.

Booking is necessary for some of the tours. Pick up a copy of the free brochure listing all of the free events and open days taking place from the Customer Service Centre at the Town Hall, Watford Museum or Watford Central Library.
