Police are looking for a cyclist who has been grabbing women's bottoms.

Detectives in St Albans have received numerous reports of sexual assaults in Alban Way - with the latest incident happening at 7.20pm on Tuesday between the River Ver bridge and Cottonmill Lane.

The suspect is described as black with dark hair. On Tuesday, he was wearing a grey hooded top and dark trousers, and after touching the woman, he cycled off towards Cottonmill.

At 8.30am last Saturday, another woman was touched. Police are linking the two incidents and say the man was wearing a grey woolly hat, navy coat, and dark trousers, while riding a dark coloured bike.

Seven further similar incidents in Alban Way were reported to police in August and St Albans Detective Inspector Alexandra Warwick believes there are more cases.

Det Insp Warwick said: "Although this type of sexual assault is unusual, we have had a few reports but suspect there may be more incidents that have not been reported.

"Please be reassured that we are doing everything we can to find out who this man is. If you have been subject to a similar incident or think you may have seen him, please get in touch with us."
