A restaurant owned by Love Island contestant Mike Thalassitis has closed down just four months after opening.

A notice placed outside The Skillet on High Road, Loughton, confirms the building was officially taken back by the owners of the building Eldar Properties Ltd. on Monday, September 16.

The 26-year-old reality TV star was found dead in a park near Edmonton on Saturday, March 26 just weeks before the restaurant's grand opening.

Business partner Scotty Neilson rescheduled the grand opening six weeks after Mr Thalassitis’ death on Saturday, April 27.

All drink proceeds over launch weekend was donated to mental health charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) in the 26-year-old’s memory.

The re-entry notice posted in the window of the restaurant, explains that the owners of the property have already changed the locks and repossessed the property.

In June, an inquest heard that the Love Islander hanged himself in a park after an alcohol and cocaine binge, his body was found later by a woman out jogging nearby.

Suicide notes addressed to his family in a book next to his body was found at the scene, which 'clearly set out his intention that his life should come to an end', an inquest heard.

Mr Thalassitis’ death was ruled a suicide after toxicology results showed he took a lethal cocktail of cocaine, alcohol and paracetamol before he hanged himself.
