Police were busy at work last night following several reports of anti-social behaviour.

It was Halloween, so lots of families were out trick-or-treating in the area.

But not everyone was behaving.

In Chorleywood Three Rivers Police said under-age teenagers were caught with a large amount of beer and vodka, which was confiscated.

And later in Croxley Green police seized fireworks that were found with teenagers.

Parents also took to social media last night to vent their anger over some of the things they had seen during the evening.

One person had reported a pumpkin was smashed through a window in Croxley Green and eggs were thrown over the door of a 94-year-old woman.

Another reported that people were driving round Abbots Langley and Bushey throwing fireworks out of windows.

A pumpkin was also said to be smashed up and stolen in Abbots Langley as well as sweets being stolen in Bricket Wood.

There were reports that pumpkins were stolen in Croxley Green too.

Police say extra patrols were in force for Halloween, carrying out extra high visibility and covert patrols to try and ensure everyone was safe last night.

And there will also be extra patrols out on Bonfire night as well, with police working to make sure anti-social behaviour is low.

Chief Inspector David Partridge, the coordinator of Hertfordshire Constabulary’s activity during Halloween and Bonfire night, said: “We don’t want to stop anyone from enjoying themselves, but please remember that damaging other people’s property, causing injury or intimidating people are crimes and could lead to an arrest.

“There will be more officers on patrol during this period, so we will be able to respond quickly to any incidents, as well as providing a highly visible and reassuring presence.”
