Three families organised a dog walk in tribute to three soldiers who were killed on the frontline in Afghanistan.

The families of Cpt Tom Sawyer from Watford, Cpl Chris Harrison from Garston and Pte Tom Lake from Northwood held their annual dog walk event last Sunday (November 3).

Cpt Sawyer who was part of the 29 Commando Royal Artillery was killed on January 14 in 2009.

Cpl Harrison who was part of the 40 Commando Royal Marines was killed on May 9 in 2010.

Pte Lake in the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment was killed on November 20 in 2011.

The dog walk will raise money for charity and for the families to commemorate the lives of their sons and the sacrifices they made.

This is the eighth year the event has been organised and it usually raises about £2,000 for the fund so they can provide financial help and support to veterans.

The top fundraiser for the fourth year is Francis Combe student Amy Martin from Garston who has previously raised more than £400.
