Towns and villages have fallen silent to remember the members of our armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

Memorial services took place across the boroughs of Watford, Three Rivers, and Hertsmere, on Remembrance Sunday where wreaths were laid and two minute silences were held.

At 11am today, the country fell silent again to commemorate the anniversary of the armistice which marked the end of World War One - 100 years ago.

On Sunday afternoon, a parade and remembrance event took place outside Watford town hall.
