In February over 100 young people from St Albans will take to the stage in an all-singing, all-dancing production at the Alban Arena.
Young people aged 11 to 20 from Scout and Guide organisations in St Albans have been rehearsing since October to prepare for the show, which runs from Wednesday, February 12, to Saturday, February 15 at the Alban Arena.
The show is a variety show of big musical numbers around themes and this year there will be songs from Panic at the Disco, The Greatest Showman, Billy Elliot, Dear Evan Hansen, Hairspray, Taio Cruz and Sister Sledge.
St Albans Gang Show is volunteer-run with over 150 adults from St Albans giving up their time to create the show and rehearse the cast, as well as making over 1,000 costumes, building all scenery and sets, and scoring all the musical numbers for the live band.
Gang Show producer Hermione Drew said: “We are so excited to be preparing another cracking show. The cast are busy learning songs and routines, the volunteer team are busy planning fantastic staging and costume designs and we can’t wait for our audiences to see it."
