A man has been charged in connection with five reported courier frauds in Essex where fraudsters have posed as bank workers.
Mohamed Koita, 21, of Clandon Road, Ilford, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, January 25, charged with fraud by false representation.
It follows reports between Thursday, December 26, and Thursday, January 16, involving women aged in their 80s living in Tillingham and Chelmsford.
A 21-year-old from East Ham has been released without charge.
