Burglars broke into two flats and stole jewellery from one.

The maisonettes in Alder Close were broken into on January 21 (Tuesday) between 9.45am and 6.50pm.

The offenders gained access to both the upstairs and downstairs properties.

Jewellery and paperwork was stolen from one of the homes.

Detective Constable Kat Murray-Rochard said: "I am appealing for anyone who has seen this jewellery to get in touch. You might be able to help us return it to its rightful owner.

"Similarly, I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the burglary or saw suspicious activity in the around the time of the offence.

"Any information, no matter how small it might seem, could be vital for the investigation.
