A special service for people who have suffered bereavement will be held at a St Albans church tomorrow.
St Paul’s Church in Blandford Road is holding a quiet, reflective service for anyone who wants to remember a loved one.
The service is at 3.30pm on Sunday and will last around 50 minutes.
The service is open to everyone, whether they have lost someone recently or many years ago and will be followed by refreshments.
Andy Pike, pastoral care minister at St Paul’s, said: “This service is for anyone who wants to remember someone who has died. There will be an opportunity to light a candle as together we mourn and remember loved ones.”
The church itself has around 300 members across their three Sunday services and aims to grow and help people to be effective Christians in their everyday life. It has hosted bereavement services like this one in the past to give people the opportunity to mourn their loved ones or celebrate the life of someone they have lost.
