A man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Haringey.

Met Police were called just before midnight on Saturday (June 13) to a house in Waldegrave Road following reports of a 48-year-old man with stab injuries.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the man was rushed to hospital. He died just before 1am on Sunday.

A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Officer said he is thought to be known to the victim.

  • Marian Anghel, 42, (17/12/1977) , a Romanian national of Waldegrave Road, N8 has been charged.

He will appear in custody at Highbury Magistrates' Court today (June 15).

Police are waiting for the victim to be formally identified. Their next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course. Police said they're not naming the victim at this stage.
