A fifth person has been arrested in connection with the murder of Stephen Morrisson.

Police arrested a man, 26, at an address in Chigwell this morning (July 7) in suspicion of murder after Mr Morrisson, the brother of UK rapper Morrisson, was stabbed near Wakes Arms roundabout in Epping New Road on June 23.

The man remains in custody.

The murder took place at a car park between the Robin Hood and Wakes Arms roundabout.

Mr Morrisson was found with life threatening and police were called shortly before 8pm.

He was taken to hospital and died later that evening.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Julie Gowen who is leading the investigation said: "Our investigation is quickly gathering pace and we are making significant progress with our enquiries.

"I would like to thank everyone who has got in contact with us so far. Your help has been invaluable.

"Five people have now been arrested in connection with Stephen's death, but we are still asking anyone who has information to come forward and speak to us.

"No matter how small or insignificant you think your information is, please get in contact with us.

"It could be the key to bringing those responsible for Stephen's death to justice."

His family have since spoken out about the murder. 

They said: "Our Stevo, he was larger than life itself.

"He was taken too early and so tragically and our lives will never be the same again.

"He leaves such a big empty hole that can never be filled."

The Morrisson family added: "We ask that you please respect our privacy at what is a very difficult time for us all."
