A car stolen in Bradford a week ago has been recovered by police in Huddersfield.
The driver of the silver Nissan Note made off after spotting police.
The vehicle was the a abandoned in a car park and officers said the occupants tried to hide in a nearby shop.
Police have released a picture of the vehicle near the junction of Leeds Road and Thistle Street, Huddersfield.
Two people have been arrested in connection with a recent shoplifting offence.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "Huddersfield: Vehicle stolen in Bradford a week ago. Vehicle made off on sighting officers. Occupants abandon vehicle in a car park and try to hide in the shop."
