A bus driver is due in court later this week following the death of an elderly bus user in Harlow last year.
Christopher Balding, of Quarry Spring, Harlow, is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 5.
The 36-year-old will answer counts of causing death by careless driving and causing death by dangerous driving.
It follows a reported incident in which a man was taken to hospital after falling from a bus in Howard Way at around 10.50pm on Friday, May 3, 2019.
The victim, John Childs, 73, from Harlow, died from his injuries in hospital on Sunday, May 12, 2019.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "Our Serious Collision Investigations Unit (SCIU) investigated before voluntarily interviewing the bus driver in connection with the investigation."
