A WOMAN was approached by a man who then carried out a sex attack.
She was at a bus stop in Sackville Road Hove in the early hours of this morning.
The 20-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons was approached by a man between 4am and 5am.
He sexually assaulted her then ran off along Sackville Road and into Frith Road, towards the Old Shoreham Road and Hove Park.
Police say the suspect is a white skinny man in his 20s who wore a red top.
They believe he may have been in the Hove Park area earlier that morning.
Detective Inspector Lee Horner said: “The victim is being supported by specially trained officers. We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area.”
Officers will patrol the area, anyone with information can report it online or call 101, 334 of 15/08.
