A motorcyclist who was involved in a crash on a dual carriageway at the weekend has died, police have confirmed.
The emergency services were called to the A414 between Hemel Hempstead and the Park Street roundabout near St Albans shortly before 1.15pm on Sunday.
The collision involved a Fiat 500 and a motorbike and it happened on the northbound carriageway in the direction of the M1.
On Sunday, police said the biker had suffered serious injuries but said today (Tuesday) it was now in a position to confirm the biker had died from their injuries.
Sergeant James Thorne from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire road policing unit, said: "Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
"We are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision, or events leading up to it, to please get in touch. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage which could assist our enquiries. If you can help, please get in touch."
