A new food shop is opening in St Albans this week.
A Co-op food store will be open its doors this Friday (November 13) on London Road.
This comes after a £615,000 investment which has created 14 jobs.
The store will run on 100 per cent renewable electricity and will include a customer car park and in-store bakery.
Co-op store manager David Reynolds said: "We are delighted to have the opportunity to make such a significant investment in St Albans and look forward to serving our community.
"The store has a great look and feel, and we have worked to develop the range choice, products and services locally that will create a really compelling offer and enable the store team to serve the commuity quickly, easily, safely and conveniently."
