- There were long delays on the M25 between Watford and St Albans for much of today.

- Traffic was extremely slow on the anticlockwise carriageway between London Colney and Watford.

- There have been no reports of any incidents but traffic cameras showed the weather conditions on the motorway were bad, with heavy rain and strong winds reported too.

- The queues started just after junction 22 for London Colney and the traffic did not clear until a little after junction 19 for Watford.

- The problems on the M25 were also causing issues on roads near the M25, like the A414 near St Albans and the A405 in Bricket Wood towards Garston.

- And elsewhere, there were reports of fallen trees as some places were hit by gusts of more than 40mph.

- Beyond junction 19, there were more delays facing drivers with queues from around junction 17 for Maple Cross down towards the M4 and into Surrey. It still remains slow near Heathrow Airport.
