It comes as Hertfordshire Constabulary said officers searching for a missing woman are now liaising with British Transport Police over an incident at the station.
The force issued a statement on Sunday evening on Facebook.
It said: “Officers investigating a woman missing from St Albans are now liaising with British Transport Police following a non-suspicious tragic incident at Harpenden Train Station.
“This is a very sad incident and we ask that you please refrain from speculating any further and respect the family's privacy at this hugely difficult time.”
Services between St Albans and Luton have returned to normal.
