TWO ambulance crew involved in a head-on collison which left a pensioner dead have been discharged from the QEII hospital in Welwyn Garden City.
The driver, a 43-year old woman from Bedfordshire and her passsenger, a 33 year-old woman from Welwyn Garden City , were rushed to hospital after the emergency vehicle collided with a red Vauxhall Corsa on the A1000 Great North Road just south of Hatfield on Saturday.
The driver of the Corsa, an 81-year-old woman from Essendon, died from her injuries.
Police want to speak to a female driver called Joanne, who stopped at the scene of the fatal accident and spoke to the ambulance crew.
