A new walk-in vaccine service is available on a bus that parks at different spots around St Albans.
The vaccination bus is usually based in St Peters Street outside St Albans Museum, for appointments and walk-ins from 8.30am to 3pm daily, and 10:30am to 3pm on Wednesday and Sunday.
Then every Saturday it will be at a different locations in the city offering walk-in vaccinations only.
The mobile service was introduced following the recent closure of the Alban Arena and Batchwood vaccination centres.
St Albans’ MP Daisy Cooper hopped aboard the bus parked to meet the NHS staff and volunteers crewing it.
Ms Cooper said: “On behalf of everyone in St Albans, I wanted to say a really big thank-you to the staff for everything they’re doing.
“We are so desperately grateful to them all for running this vaccination scheme, which is helping to save many thousands of lives as we pass through the peak of another Covid wave.
“I’d urge anyone who has yet to be vaccinated to make a bee-line for the bus. By getting on board now, not only can you protect yourself from serious illness but you can help bring this pandemic to an end even faster.”
