- There wee numerous delays across the road network following a police incident on the M25.

- Highways England said the motorway was blocked by police clockwise near junction 22 for London Colney, at around 12.30pm (August 9).

- The carriageway later reopened but the temporary closure caused significant delays.

- Among the routes affected were the M25 back towards Watford, the A405, the A414 near both Hemel Hempstead and St Albans, and the A1081 near London Colney.

- All of the delays caused by this incident have now cleared.
