There will be no trains running on a line for most of today, according to a railway operator.
London Northwestern has said its Abbey Line service, which runs between Watford and St Albans, is currently suspended.
It is because of a shortage of train crew.
National Rail says trains are unlikely to be operating again on the single track of line until around 6pm this evening (August 11).
London Northwestern tweeted at 6.06am: "Cancellations to services between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey: Due to a member of train crew being unavailable between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey the line is closed."

Replacement road transport is in operation calling at all stations in both directions, including Watford North, Garston, Bricket Wood, How Wood, and Park Street, as well as Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey.
National Rail has said tickets are also being accepted on Arriva The Shires Bus Route 321 Sapphire Line.
The service information company says passengers travelling between Watford and St Albans may travel via London Euston and London St Pancras International to St Albans station.
