  • ⚠️A red weather warning remains in place until 3pm by the Met Office with an amber warning lasting until 9pm (February 18).
  • ⚠️The Met Office says the storm has been causing significant disruption and dangerous conditions due to extremely strong winds.
  • ⚠️The worst of the wind is now thought to be over but we could still see gusts of around 50-60 mph
  • ⚠️People are being urged to stay at home while it remains so windy
  • ⚠️People are being warned of potential disruption to transport and power supply.
  • ⚠️Countless trees have fallen, blocking roads and damaging properties
  • ⚠️Train operators are urging people not to travel with some lines completely blocked
  • ⚠️Some businesses are closed with recycling centres across Herts shut
