YOUNG musicians and singers from Beaumont School have just returned from a successful tour of Vienna.
They performed in four locations in the Austrian capital, including the Stefansdom cathedral.
Hanh Doan, head of music at the Oakwood Drive comprehensive, said: "Performing in Stephansdom was a real privilege for the Choir and Vocal Ensemble.
"Whilst tourists were wandering around the cathedral, they enjoyed our performance of a selection of European sacred music, including Fauré's Cantique de Jean Racine and Mendelssohn's Verleih Uns Frieden.
"The students really put everything into the trip and excelled at every performance.
"We travelled by overnight coach there and back so they must have been very tired but their commitment and standard of performance and behaviour never wavered. "For many of them this was a chance of a lifetime and I'd like to thank them all for making it such a fantastic trip."
