A record number of Hertfordshire children have gained a place at one of their ranked junior schools for this coming September.
More than 2,700 applications have been processed by Hertfordshire County Council's admissions team and parents and carers applying online will be able to view their allocation online from late afternoon today.
Letters informing families of their allocation will also be sent out today by first class post.
An impressive 99.46 per cent of Hertfordshire children have been allocated a place at one of their ranked schools.
This includes 97.28 per cent receiving their first ranked school.
The number of parents applying online has also gone up dramatically to 1,988 or 71 per cent.
Keith Emsall, executive member for education and culture, said: "Hertfordshire has excellent schools and we work with every one of them in order to continually raise standards, and ensure the best possible education for children in this county."
