A NINETEEN-YEAR-OLD caught selling cannabis to his fellow University of Hertfordshire students has been jailed for four months.
Police found the drug when they raided Mohamed Haji's room in Watton Hall, Mosquito Way in February last year.
Haji, incriminated by scales for measuring the goods and text messages found on his mobile phone, was found guilty of possessing drugs with intent to supply after a trial.
At St Albans Crown Court last week, judge Stephen Warner told Haji, of Lawrence Avenue, Letchworth, it was clear he had been selling drugs within the university.
He said only a custodial sentence was appropriate, and sent the business studies student, who started taking cannabis at 15, to prison for four months.
