FORMER pupils of the long defunct Sandfield Girls' School will be holding a reunion on Saturday evening.
Sandfield, a secondary modern in Hatfield Road, St Albans, was eventually taken over by the comprehensive Beaumont.
Carolyne Martin, 58, who was known at school as Carol Samuels, said: "I have managed to get about 20 ladies who were there in the mid to late Sixties.
"Some are even coming from Ireland.
"We will be having a light meal - I do hope people come along to share their memories, and find out what their old friends have been up to in the last forty years.
" I am still in touch with some of our old teachers."
Former pupils are asked to meet in The King William IV pub at the corner of Beech Road and Sandridge Road from 7pm.
