Police are only just appealing for witnesses after burglars broke into a building site in Wheathampstead last week and stole expensive tools.
The theft occurred between 5.10pm on Thursday, April 3 and 7.45am on Friday, April 4, when an offender(s) entered the construction site in East Lane and robbed a Paslode nail gun and a Makita petrol saw before making off in an unknown direction.
A mobile phone and wallet were also stolen from the site.
PC Simon Rogers who is leading the investigation, said: "This incident has caused the building site unnecessary inconvenience and disruption and I would ask for anyone who saw the incident or knows anything about it to please come forward.
"I would also ask people who may have seen the tools or knows their whereabouts to get in touch as well."
Anyone with information should call PC Rogers on 0845 33 00 222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
