An unlikely gathering will take place at Oaklands College this afternoon when an honourable guest drops in to meet its students.
Government minister Baroness Morgan will visit the college's Smallford Campus today to meet with the student council, comprising pupils from a range of different courses and aspiring players from the Saracens Rugby Club and St Albans FC sports academies.
Baroness Morgan has also expressed an interest in meeting local employers who have developed Train to Gain - a development programme between local businesses and the college.
Oaklands College principle Mark Dawe said: "We are honoured that Baroness Morgan chose to visit Oaklands College.
"It is a great opportunity to show her the range of high quality learning that we deliver here at the College.
"I am particularly pleased that the Baroness is able to meet the students, employers and staff who contribute to our success."
