Two women from Hertfordshire have chosen to marry complete strangers in a bid to find their perfect partners.

On at 9pm, Mondays to Thursday, the E4 show sees 20 singles from across the country paired by relationship experts.

The show documents the 10 pairings from the moment they get married, to the honeymoon and then them living together.

Whitney Hughes, 31, is a PA and a road safety campaigner.

Whitney faced tragedy in October 2019 when her mum, Gillian Williams, died in a crash on Redbourn Road, St Albans.

She began campaigning for enhanced road safety in Hertfordshire, and her "Make Redbourn Road Safe" petition on Change.org has since garnered more than 5,800 signatures to July 2022.

The show’s producers said: "Her mum was her best friend, and though she had a strict upbringing, she’s proud it made her the strong and independent woman she now is.

"Although she has dated lots of men on a superficial level, she’s never found anyone good enough to bring home to her family."

Producers added that Whitney now fears reaching the age of 50 without finding a partner to settle down with.

They said: "She feels ready to give someone a chance, and thinks that putting the responsibility of finding her partner into the experts' hands might be her only solution."

Producers said: "For April this joke is wearing a bit thin.

"Determined to change this label, she’s ready to take the plunge and put her love life in the hands of the relationship experts.”
