With the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar creeping ever closer, fans will be starting to put their plans in place for the opening matches.

Many national teams have announced their squads already, and Gareth Southgate's England is no exception.

England have progressed to a World Cup semi-final and a European Championship final in the last two major tournaments.

With that in mind, we've put together a list places where you can watch the Three Lions in St Albans.

1. The Goat Inn, Sopwell Lane

The Goat Inn will be showing multiple games during the FIFA World Cup.

This includes England's first game against Iran, on Monday November 21.

Established in 1587, the Goat Inn is a historic pub in the quaint surroundings of Sopwell Lane.

Multiple television screens are present inside the location.

2. The Victoria, Victoria Street

The Victoria is a pub designed with sport in mind.

A large outdoor terrace features covered booths, each with their screen to watch the game.

Large screens are also present inside the establishment.

This affirms the pub's claim as a "premium sports bar".

3. The Garibaldi, Albert Street

The Garibaldi on Albert Street will be offering a full English breakfast to customers who book a table for England's first game.

The memu will be served from 11.30am until 3pm on November 21.

Breakfast baps, bacon double cheeseburgers, pizzas, and loaded fries are also available to compliment the game.

Customers are advised to call ahead to book their place.

4. Mad Squirrel Tap, Heritage Close

A 100 inch projector screen will show FIFA World Cup matches at the Mad Squirrel Tap.

The craft beer pub will also be offering matchday food deals to enjoy.

The venue states: "The World Cup is back!

"Join us at our taproom to watch it with your friends and enjoy our great selection of beers and delicious food."

5. The Blacksmiths Arms, St Peter's Street

The Blacksmiths Arms on St Peter's Street has advised customers to use its smartphone app during the World Cup.

This is so that fans don't get "caught offside" and miss the action whilst buying drinks.

Instead food and beverages can be ordered straight to the table.

The pub itself boasts "plenty of seating and outdoor TV screens" to watch the match.

A total of seven screens and 12 speakers will be present at "Britain's Oldest Pub".

100 seats with an "unobstructed view" are promised, along with room for 50 more to stand.

Live music will be offered for selected games, along with food and an "extensive" drinks menu.

Entry will cost £10 on the door.

7. The White Swan, Upper Dagnall St

Every single game is set to be shown at The White Swan on Upper Dagnall Street.

Six "big" screens with surround sound are promised.

Tables will be available on a first-come first-served basis.

The pub itself has a history spanning around 250 years.
