1. Coopers Arms - Hitchin
Set in Hitchin's historic Tilehouse Street, the Coopers Arms is a popular pub among the town's residents, and they put on a great pub quiz too.
Taking place every Tuesday at 8pm, expect a challenge, not just from the tough questions but the regular teams who have honed their quizzing skills.
As a quiz regular at the Coopers myself, the best I have ever managed is third place.
2. Radcliffe Arms - Hitchin
Also taking place on a Tuesday in Hitchin is the pub quiz at the Radcliffe Arms.
Starting at 7.30pm, entry is just £2 per person and there are "amazing prizes to be won", according to the pubs website.
And if that's not enough to entice you, there are tasty pizzas to enjoy while you quiz.
3. The Horn - St Albans
The Horn invites punters to "put on their thinking caps" for their Monday night quiz.
Starting at 7.30pm and with a £2 entry fee, you can win a £40 bar tab, a bottle of house wine or a packet of crisps of your choice if you finish in the top three.
And to add an extra element, there's a rollover round too.
4. Blacksmiths Arms - St Albans
Hosted by Andy every Thursday at 7pm, this hour-and-a-half long quiz will test your knowledge.
There are great prizes to be won for those brain-boxes, but booking is recommended as this is a popular event.
5. Two Willows - Welwyn Garden City
The quiz at Two Willows comes with a twist, as players are asked to use their phone to answer questions.
Taking place every Sunday from 8pm, you have the chance to win the national prize pot up to £1,500 every week, thanks to We Love Quiz.
And to top it off, the quiz is voiced by The Chase star Shaun Wallace.
