THE railfreight terminal will devastate the picturesque Ver valley and bring thousands of lorries onto narrow country roads, according to campaigners in Radlett.
Graham Taylor of the Radlett Society told the hearing: “The compact Ver valley is a local treasure.
“It will never be the same again.
“The proposed Park Street relief road is viewed with great concern.
“It will open up rat runs. HGV drivers will be tempted towards Harper Lane, even though it is longer, because it will be less congested.”
