HELIOSLOUGH is ignoring plans for major warehouse development in Essex , the council is arguing.
Mr Reed told Helioslough's planning consiultant Richard Tilley: “Thames Gateway will be capable of operating as an SRFI.” (strategic rail freight interchange)
Mr Tilley said: “That depends on the developer. The warehouses are required to serve the port development.”
Mr Reed responded: “The developer says anybody can use the warehouses.”
Mr Tilley countered that rail connections to the site, near Thurrock in Essex, were difficult.
